Before I got this sample, I was fairly satisfied with using whatever soap-like product happened to be handy. Shampoo, hand soap, body wash, and facial cleanser I didn’t like were all fair game for my brushes. I figured anything would get them clean enough to use. This was different.
I used it on both brushes and beauty sponges and in both cases I had to use less product than other things to get everything clean. And it seemed to clean better. The brushes, yes, but where I really noticed a difference was the sponges. Normally I get some residue that I always assumed was permanent from the foundation pigments. Nope. The brush cleaner made them as orange as they were when I bought them.
But there’s a drawback. This brush cleaner had a very strong fragrence. One that lingered on the brushes long after cleaning. One I didn’t appreciate at all.
Bottom line: It cleaned exceedingly well and I used it all up despite the heavy fragrence. But I won’t be buying the full size because of it. I will, however, be trying out brush cleaners. Any suggestions?
